Église Saint-Pierre de Trégueux, Parish church in Trégueux, France
The église Saint-Pierre de Trégueux is a parish church in the town of Trégueux, in Brittany, northwestern France. The building follows a Latin cross plan with a nave, two side aisles, a transept, and a choir ending in a three-sided apse.
The first stone was blessed on June 22, 1879, and the building was completed in 1882. The plans were drawn by M. Le Coz, and the construction was carried out by M. Renouard and M. Pignorel.
The church stands in the center of Trégueux and is easy to reach on foot. Visiting outside of service times allows you to look around the interior more freely.
The pulpit and lectern inside the church were brought over from the older building that previously stood on this site, giving the interior a mix of periods. A bell from that earlier church, dated January 11, 1611 and named Catherine, has also survived to this day.
