Puig dels Moros

Located in the eastern Pyrenees at 1206.7 meters elevation, Puig dels Moros extends across two communes with numerous hiking trails through pine forests.

The mountain has stood as a natural boundary marker between communities in the Pyrenees-Orientales region since medieval territorial divisions of Catalonian influence.

Local shepherds maintain traditional grazing practices on the mountain slopes, where their livestock roams freely during summer months.

Visitors can access the summit through a 12.5-kilometer marked trail from Font-Romeu-Odeillo-Via, with a total climbing distance of 280 meters.

The mountain features multiple converging paths created by both hiking trails and cattle routes, forming an intricate network across its slopes.
