Jashak salt dome

The Jashak salt dome extends for twelve kilometers in length and four kilometers in width, covering an area of 3650 hectares at 1496 meters elevation.

The geological formation emerged 600 million years ago during the late Precambrian period, making it one of the 114 salt domes in southern Iran.

The salt dome functions as a mineral resource for local communities in Bushehr Province, situated between the districts of Bardkhun and Kaki.

Located 144 kilometers southeast of Bandar Bushehr and 60 kilometers from Khourmoj city, visitors can access the site through the Kangan-Bushehr road.

The salt dome displays multicolored layers in orange, yellow, red, and gray, indicating the presence of different metal elements throughout its structure.
