Shadiyakh

Shadiyakh is an archaeological site in Nishapur County that contains remains of a large palace complex from the medieval period. The ruins reveal multiple building sections and numerous artifacts that show how this former residence was structured and equipped.

The palace complex was founded in the 9th century and served as a power center for the ruler Abdullah ibn Tahir al-Khurasani. The site was later destroyed and ceased to function as a royal residence.

The items and structures found here reveal how people lived and organized their daily lives during the medieval period. These remains show the social patterns and practical routines of the palace inhabitants.

The site is somewhat remote and requires preparation for a visit. Wear sturdy shoes and be ready for uneven ground, as the ruins are spread across a larger area.
