Attar Mausoleum

The Attar Mausoleum is an octagonal structure topped with a bulbous dome, built from brick and decorated with green, yellow, and blue ceramic tiles. Four doorways lead into an interior chamber with seating areas, which opens onto a landscaped garden containing other notable tombs.

Construction was commissioned by Ali-Shir Nava'i during the Timurid dynasty and completed around 1500. This monument marked a turning point in recognizing the poet's importance to Persian culture and Islamic philosophy.
