Meta Romuli, former monument in Rome, Italy
Meta Romuli was a pyramid-shaped tomb located in the Vatican area and dating back to ancient Roman times. This structure served as a burial monument and represented one of the few examples of its kind built in the ancient city.
The tomb was built during Roman antiquity and stood near what would later become the Vatican grounds. It was destroyed or demolished over time, like many ancient structures in this area of the city.
This monument no longer exists and cannot be visited, as it was destroyed long ago. Today only historical records and archaeological sources preserve the memory of its former presence.
