Museo di Firenze com'era, History museum in Florence, Italy
The Museo di Firenze com'era contains paintings, sketches, and documents illustrating the development of Florence from its early origins through modern times.
Founded in 1955 within a former convent of the Oblate Sisters, the museum operated until 2010 when it closed to accommodate the expansion of Biblioteca delle Oblate.
The museum displayed fourteen paintings of Medici villas by Giusto Utens from 1599, which now reside at Petraia Villa Medici since 2014.
Located on Via dell'Oriuolo in central Florence, the museum documented the architectural and social transformations of the city through multiple exhibition spaces.
The collection included the della catena plan, a nineteenth-century reproduction of a fifteenth-century original document stored in Berlin's Friedrich Museum.
