Casinò di Campione

The Casinò di Campione is a gaming house with nine floors located directly on Lake Lugano's shore. The complex houses 56 gaming tables and 500 slot machines spread across its large space.

The gaming house was founded in 1917 and served as a location for gathering information from foreign diplomats during World War I. After various transformations, it received its current architectural form in 2007.

The casino serves as the main economic heart of the Italian enclave of Campione d'Italia, which sits surrounded by Swiss territory. The gaming house shapes daily life and employment in this unusual geographical setting.
