Chiesa della Graziella, Baroque church in Sbarre neighborhood, Reggio Calabria, Italy
The Chiesa della Graziella exhibits a rectangular layout with a single nave, measuring 20 meters in length, 7 meters in width, and 6 meters in height.
The church construction began in 1641 on land donated by the Surici brothers, with its official inauguration taking place on March 29, 1691.
The marble plaque beneath the bell tower window documents numerous miracles attributed to the Madonna delle Grazie, leading to increased local devotion.
The church reopened for public worship in April 2000 following extensive renovations that included new wooden roofing and restored plasterwork.
The main altar features isolated Solomon columns decorated with acanthus motifs and cherubs, representing a notable example of Baroque craftsmanship.
