Applied Arts Collection of Milan, Art museum in Sforza Castle, Milan, Italy
The Applied Arts Collection exhibits numerous ceramics, glass objects, textiles, and decorative artifacts within multiple galleries of the castle complex.
The museum collection, inaugurated in 1900, originated from donations of wealthy Milanese families who contributed their private art collections in 1878.
The museum holds the Gonzaga Cup, made of glass with gold decorations, and the Trivulzio Tapestries depicting twelve months designed by Bramantino.
The museum opens from Tuesday through Sunday between 10:00 and 17:30, with entrance through the main castle gate at Piazza Castello.
The ceramic section contains medieval and Renaissance pottery from Lodi and Milan workshops, representing regional manufacturing techniques through centuries.
