Villa Croce Museum occupies a nineteenth-century neoclassical building with three exhibition floors, featuring large windows overlooking the Mediterranean Sea.
The Croce family donated this former private residence to Genoa Municipality in 1951, leading to its transformation into a contemporary art museum in 1985.
The permanent collection contains over 3000 artworks from Italian and international artists, including pieces by Lucio Fontana, Piero Manzoni, and Bruno Munari.
Visitors can explore the museum Thursday through Friday from 15:00 to 19:00 and Saturday through Sunday from 11:00 to 19:00, with admission costing 5 euros.
The museum's collection originated from Maria Cernuschi Ghiringhelli, who gathered 200 works representing the Italian abstract movement of the twentieth century.
