Museum of Musical Instruments, Musical instruments museum at Accademia Gallery, Florence, Italy
The museum collection contains fifty historical instruments, including violins, violas, cellos, harpsichords, and wind instruments from the 17th to 19th centuries.
The instruments belonged to the Medici and Lorraine families before being transferred to the Cherubini Conservatory and later displayed at the Accademia Gallery in 1966.
The collection features works by master craftsmen Antonio Stradivari and Niccolò Amati, highlighting the musical traditions of the Medicean Court in Florence.
Digital stations allow visitors to hear recordings of each instrument and learn about musical history during the grand-dukes period in Florence.
The museum houses two instruments by Bartolomeo Cristofori, including the first vertical piano ever created, marking a revolution in musical instrument development.
