Casa di Giovanni Spadolini, Political residence in Florence, Italy
The Casa di Giovanni Spadolini stands on Via Cavour 28, featuring decorated ceilings with painted angels and medallions depicting views of Italian towns.
The building served as the winter residence of the Spadolini family for three generations until 1978, when Giovanni moved to the villa at Pian dei Giullari.
The interior walls display artworks by Guido Spadolini, along with paintings from artists Primo Conti and Nino Caffè, plus Napoleonic period prints.
The residence opens twice annually for foundation board meetings and special visits, requiring advance reservations through phone or email contact.
The rooms contain numerous bookshelves and memorabilia, including a Roman numeral clock received as a gift from poet Eugenio Montale.
