Cinema La Compagnia occupies a narrow, deep lot at Via Cavour 50 rosso, with a secondary front on Via Ricasoli. Architect Adolfo Natalini converted the former Modernissimo cinema (1921) into a theatre, inaugurated in May 1987. The interior centres on a barrel-vaulted corridor leading to a rectangular hall with pink stone walls, a blue curtain and carpet, and a stage tower opening onto Via Ricasoli.

The theater opened in 1987 under the architectural design of Adolfo Natalini and underwent complete renovation by the Tuscany Region in 2016. This modernization renewed the space and strengthened its role in Florence's cultural life.
