Museo di Palazzo Mocenigo
Museo di Palazzo Mocenigo, Textile and costume museum in Santa Croce, Italy
The Palazzo Mocenigo houses collections of historical fabrics, garments, and perfumes across multiple exhibition rooms in a Renaissance building along the Grand Canal.
The building belonged to the Mocenigo family until 1945, when Alvise Nicolò Mocenigo donated the palazzo to Venice for transformation into an art gallery.
The museum displays numerous textiles and costumes from the Correr, Guggenheim, and Cini collections, representing centuries of Venetian fashion and craftsmanship.
Visitors can explore the museum's exhibitions from Tuesday to Sunday between 10:00 AM and 3:30 PM, with access to specialized library resources.
The first floor contains frescoes by Giambattista Canal, Giovanni Scajaro, and Jacopo Guarana, adding artistic value to the textile collections.
