Parco naturale regionale del Fiume Sile

Sile River Regional Natural Park is a protected area spanning three provinces in the Veneto region, following the river from its upper course toward the lagoon. The landscape includes river valleys with woods and meadows where the water winds through relatively flat terrain.

The river served as a vital water source and transport route for centuries, powering mills and small factories throughout the region. Settlements developed along its banks where people could harness the water's energy for their work.

The riverside communities developed strong connections to the water through traditional crafts and mills that powered their livelihoods. Walking through the park, you notice how the river shaped the way people built their homes and organized their daily work.
