Milan Courthouse, Courthouse in central Milan, Italy

The Court of Milan spans 30,000 square meters with eight internal courtyards, four main floors, and two mezzanine levels, connected by six staircases and nine elevators.

Architect Marcello Piacentini directed the construction between 1932 and 1940, replacing the former Prince Eugene of Savoy barracks and the Church of San Filippo Neri.

Latin inscriptions about jurisprudence principles adorn the main entrance, emphasizing fundamental legal concepts of honest living and fair justice distribution.

The central courthouse operates at Via Freguglia 1, while specialized sections for labor law and civil cases are located at Via San Barnaba 50.

Artistic elements include mosaics depicting Justinian observing justice by Carlo Carrà and Moses with the law tablets by Achille Funi.
