Spiaggia di Mugoni

Spiaggia di Mugoni is a beach extending about 2 km along Porto Conte bay, featuring soft sand in shades from ochre to orange. A pine forest borders the shoreline, and restaurants, bars, boat rentals, and diving centers line the beach.

Archaeological remains of a Roman villa stand at the western end, providing evidence of ancient settlements in this coastal area. These ruins reveal that the location was valued as an attractive settlement site even in antiquity.

The beach is part of the Riviera del Corallo, a coastal stretch named after red coral harvested in these waters for centuries. Visitors can see the importance of this tradition in local restaurants and shops, where coral products still play a role today.

The beach has shallow water suitable for swimming and plenty of shaded areas under pine trees for hot days. Parking is available, including spaces for larger vehicles, and the infrastructure supports easy day visits without special preparation.

From the shore, Capo Caccia promontory is directly visible and resembles a sleeping giant from this viewing angle. This striking shape makes the headland a memorable landmark during a beach visit.
