Sanctuary of Maria Santissima Consolatrice del Carpinello

The sanctuary features an octagonal layout with a diameter of 28.5 meters and walls measuring 11 meters on each side.

The sanctuary originated from a small chapel dedicated to Mary of the Assumption, documented during Bishop Antonio Scarampi's pastoral visit in 1552.

The central drum of the dome contains decorated triangular windows depicting the eight beatitudes, enhancing the religious symbolism of the structure.

The sanctuary maintains regular worship services and welcomes visitors to explore its 800 square meters of interior space and 32-meter-high dome.

The floor displays a large star pattern created with polychrome marble, complementing the eight reinforced concrete pillars that converge at 20 meters height.
