Teatro Metastasio

Teatro Metastasio is an opera house in Prato featuring a horseshoe-shaped auditorium arranged across multiple tiers of ornate boxes. The interior displays white stucco detailing and gold embellishments throughout the performance space.

The building opened in 1830 with a performance of Rossini's Aureliano in Palmira conducted by a local orchestra. Since then it has served as a significant venue for theatrical performances in Tuscany.
