Villa Aldobrandini, Renaissance villa in Monte Magnanapoli district, Rome, Italy

The villa extends between Piazza del Quirinale and Via Nazionale, featuring a hanging garden enclosed by ancient stone walls and steep staircases.

The property belonged to Cardinal Pietro Aldobrandini in 1601 when Pope Clement VIII donated it to his nephew after purchasing it from Clemente Vitelli.

The upper floors of the palace contained an extensive art collection inherited from Duchess of Urbino Lucrezia d'Este in 1598.

Visitors can access the public garden through Via Mazzarino, encountering first-century ruins while ascending the entrance staircase.

The French governor established headquarters in the villa from 1811 to 1814, before the property returned to the Aldobrandini family.
