Napoleon acquired this property in June 1814 through his sister Pauline, transforming a farmhouse into his summer residence during his exile on Elba.

The Egyptian Room displays hieroglyphics and trompe-l'oeil paintings that commemorate Napoleon's Egyptian campaign, with an octagonal basin at its center.

The museum ticket includes access to both the villa and the Demidoff Gallery, with regular bus connections from Portoferraio running eight times daily.

The modern museum holds Napoleon's personal library, which he donated to the Portoferraio Community, along with furniture and artifacts from his time.
