Spiaggia di Procchio

Spiaggia di Procchio is a sandy beach along Procchio Bay with fine golden sand and clear waters that extend for about 860 meters, bordered by two rocky points. The seabed becomes gradually shallow, making it well suited for children and people with little swimming experience.

The site was known in ancient times as Cervinia and served as a center for iron processing, as shown by archaeological discoveries of an old smelting facility and a Roman vessel carrying storage jars. These finds demonstrate long-standing economic activity in this location.

The beach integrates into daily local life, where fishing boats operate from the shore and nearby dining spots serve meals centered on the day's catch, reflecting how the community relies on the sea.

The beach has several facilities where visitors can rent sunbeds, umbrellas, and water sports gear, while specialized access points and adapted changing facilities are available for different needs. An emergency helipad sits at the western end of the beach for quick access in case of urgent situations.

The beach features specialized job chairs with adapted cabins that allow people with mobility restrictions to enter the water and enjoy swimming. This facility is uncommon at Italian beaches and makes the location accessible to everyone.
