The museum extends across 60,000 square meters of space, displaying over 100 aircraft through indoor and outdoor exhibition areas devoted to different flight categories.

The site originated from the former Officine Aeronautiche Caproni facilities dating back to 1913, transforming into a public museum through a 19 million euro restoration project.

The collection includes the Flaminio Bertoni Museum and Gruppo Bertone Collection, presenting the evolution of Italian industrial design through automobiles and aircraft.

The facility operates from Tuesday to Sunday between 10:00 and 18:00, with extended hours until 19:00 during summer months from May through September.

The museum houses Italy's only operational Douglas DC-3 aircraft, alongside the MD-80 that transported notable figures including Pope John Paul II and Sandro Pertini.
