Villa Pelucca, Renaissance villa in Sesto San Giovanni, Italy
The U-shaped villa features a central body with two wings, adorned by porticos with semicircular arches and Ionic capitals from the 16th century.
First mentioned in 1180 as property of the Pelucchi family, the villa transformed from a farmhouse into a noble residence during the late 15th century.
Bernardino Luini created extensive frescoes depicting Old Testament stories and mythological narratives, now preserved at the Pinacoteca di Brera in Milan.
The villa, accessible by appointment, functions as a nursing home managed by Fondazione La Pelucca Onlus since 1927.
The chapel retains the only original fresco still in place, showing a sinopia of Saint Catherine carried by Angels on Mount Sinai.
