Villa Pelucca

Villa Pelucca is a residential mansion with a U-shaped plan featuring a central body connected to two symmetric wings. Colonnaded porticos with semicircular arches and Ionic capitals define the architectural style of the structure.

The building was first documented in 1180 as property of the Pelucchi family. It evolved from a farmhouse into a noble residence during the late 15th century.

The interior frescoes depict Old Testament narratives and mythological scenes created by Renaissance artists. These painted images shape the visual character of the rooms throughout the residence.

Access to the building requires advance arrangement due to its current use as a care facility. Visitors should plan ahead and contact the site before arriving.

The chapel preserves the only original fresco still remaining in its original location. It depicts a sinopia of Saint Catherine being carried by angels on Mount Sinai.
