Construction of Santa Maria Maddalena began in 1626, replacing a former chapel from the 14th century that served expatriates from the Abruzzo region.
The interior houses a 16th-century polyptych by Tommaso Aleni behind the main altar and a painting by Luigi Miradori depicting religious scenes.
Located at Via Realdo Colombo, the church stands perpendicular to the road with a small forecourt opening onto the main facade.
The 15th-century apse contains a polychrome ribbed umbrella vault supported by slender columns, demonstrating Renaissance architectural innovation.
