Chiesa del Monte dei Morti e della Misericordia

The Chiesa del Monte dei Morti e della Misericordia features a Greek cross layout within a square plan, complemented by four side chapels forming the transept.

The church construction began in 1715, with its consecration taking place on May 25, 1739, under the ceremony conducted by Catanzaro Bishop Ottavio Del Pozzo.

The interior holds numerous religious artworks, including sacred vestments from Catanzaro textile tradition and an altarpiece from 1642 by Giovanni del Prete.

The church maintains regular Catholic services and remains open to visitors interested in examining its late Baroque portal from 1728 and architectural elements.

Two memorial plaques installed on November 4, 1924, on the church facade display the names of Catanzaro residents who died during World War I.
