Castello Monaci, Medieval castle in Salice Salentino, Italy.

The white stone structure of Castello Monaci rises against the brown soil, featuring towers covered with ivy and surrounded by gardens.

Castello Monaci, constructed in 1550, originally served as a sanctuary for Basilian monks who dedicated their time to worship and meditation.

The castle maintains a strong connection to Salento's winemaking traditions, producing wines from native varieties like Primitivo, Negroamaro, and Malvasia Nera.

The castle functions as an event venue, providing spaces for weddings, business meetings, and various celebrations throughout the year.

The wine aging process takes place in an underground cellar carved into rock, containing 1,000 barriques and 18 French oak barrels.
