Museo Fratelli Cozzi, museum that houses cars made by Alfa Romeo
The Museo Fratelli Cozzi is an automobile museum in Legnano that displays over 60 Alfa Romeo vehicles, with at least one representative from each model produced since 1950. The exhibition is divided into three sections dedicated to sedans, coupes, and spiders, with the floor mimicking street lines to create the sense of walking among parked cars.
The museum opened in 2015 to celebrate 60 years of company history and the 80th birthday of founder Pietro Cozzi, who began collecting Alfa Romeo models in the 1950s. His personal passion collection grew into such an important assemblage that it was eventually established as an official museum.
The collection presents Alfa Romeo cars in a straightforward way that helps all visitors understand what makes this brand special, regardless of their prior knowledge. Walking through the space, you notice the fine details and distinct shapes that characterize each model.
The museum is housed in a converted warehouse from the 1950s and is easily accessible from nearby Italian cities like Milan, Como, and Varese, with good proximity to airports and transport connections. Visits are available for individual guests, schools, and groups, with staff able to arrange guided tours, events, and other services.
One particularly remarkable Alfa Romeo is the Giulia 1600 TI Super painted in the rare color Fumo di Londra, with only one example existing worldwide. Equally fascinating is the 155, which set a speed record in the United States, and the 6C known as Gobbone from 1950, a car that is especially beloved among enthusiasts.
