Rocca di Rasiglia

Rocca di Rasiglia is a medieval fortress built on a hilltop overlooking the village, featuring a central keep and multiple towers as its main defensive elements. The remains of the original perimeter walls are still partly visible throughout the site.

The Trinci family built this fortress in the early 14th century to defend their territorial borders and maintain control over the valley. It emerged during a period of intense power struggles among local rulers throughout the region.

The fortress served as the protective core of the medieval settlement and shaped how the village of Rasiglia developed around it. Its presence still defines the community's relationship with the surrounding landscape and local identity.
