Misato, Suburban city in Saitama Prefecture, Japan

Located in the southeastern corner of Saitama Prefecture, Misato spans 30 square kilometers with the Edogawa River flowing along its eastern border.

The region transferred from Shimōsa Province to Musashi Province in 1683, and the villages of Hikonari, Waseda, and Towa merged to form Misato in 1956.

Residents participate in agricultural fairs and seasonal celebrations that strengthen community bonds while preserving Japanese traditions throughout the year.

The city connects to central Tokyo through multiple rail services, including the JR East Musashino Line and the Tsukuba Express operated by Metropolitan Intercity Railway Company.

LalaPort Shin Misato houses 300 specialty shops and stands as the primary commercial center, making it a central gathering point for the local population.
