Aichi Arts Center, Cultural center in Higashisakura 1-chome, Japan

The Aichi Arts Center is a cultural center in Higashisakura housing four main divisions: an art museum, theater, arts promotion service, and prefectural library. The buildings contain exhibition spaces and performance areas across multiple floors designed to serve different artistic disciplines.

The center opened on October 30, 1992, and became the central cultural institution of Aichi Prefecture. Its establishment marked an important step in systematically supporting the arts and culture across the region.

The center hosts rotating exhibitions featuring works by Japanese and international artists that reflect the artistic life of the region. These exhibition spaces are actively used by local creators and art enthusiasts who see them as central to the prefecture's creative identity.

The center sits about five minutes on foot from Sakae Station and has good access by public transportation. Visitors should know that opening hours are reduced on the first and third Mondays of each month.

On the twelfth floor sits a dedicated art space designed to showcase and support local artistic projects and experimental work. This area serves as a platform where artists can explore new ideas and connect with the public.
