Yotsugi Station, railway station in Katsushika, Tokyo, Japan
Yotsugi Station is an elevated railway station on the Keisei Line in Katsushika, Tokyo, where walls and stairways feature artwork from the Captain Tsubasa manga series covering nearly every surface. The floor is designed to resemble a soccer field while the ceiling displays scenes of characters performing iconic moves from the story.
Originally built as a standard railway station, it began displaying Captain Tsubasa artwork in 2019 to honor creator Yoichi Takahashi who grew up in this area. The designs were refreshed in 2023 to celebrate the launch of the new Captain Tsubasa: Junior Youth Arc series.
The station takes its name from the Yotsugi neighborhood and has become a gathering point for Captain Tsubasa fans who feel a personal connection to the story. The artwork and character displays throughout the space transform it into a living celebration of both manga culture and the sport that inspired the series.
The station is easily accessible by train on the Keisei Line, by car, or on foot, with clear signs and maps to help visitors navigate. A FamilyMart convenience store located nearby sells Captain Tsubasa merchandise, making it convenient to browse and purchase items during your visit.
A striking art piece made from roughly 110,000 used train tickets depicts Tsubasa in a dynamic pose and is displayed in the FamilyMart near the station. The melody of Moete Hero, the closing theme song from the Captain Tsubasa anime, plays whenever a train approaches the platform.
