America-yama Park

America-yama Park is an urban green space in Yokohama that spans multiple levels connected by elevators and escalators. The site includes walking paths, planted areas, and viewing platforms arranged across different elevations to accommodate the sloping hillside terrain.

This park opened in 2009 as Japan's first vertical urban park development, built on a sloping site adjacent to the Minato Mirai railway line. The project introduced a new approach to creating public green spaces in hilly terrain within the city.

You can enter the park through exit 5 of Motomachi-Chūkagai Station, which is the main access point. The grounds are open daily, making it easy to visit at almost any time that fits your schedule.
