Kuraki Park, Urban park in Yokohama, Japan
Kuraki Park is a large green space in Yokohama spanning two wards with a central lake surrounded by walking paths. The grounds also include a Noh stage building on the north side and a collection of historic streetcars.
The grounds opened in 1973 and took their name from the historical Kuraki district through public selection. The Noh stage building dates back to 1917 in Tokyo before being relocated to this site.
The Noh stage on the north side hosts traditional Japanese performances and ceremonies that reflect the region's cultural heritage. Visitors can experience the craft and artistry of this classical theater form during events held throughout the year.
The grounds are accessible on foot from two nearby train stations and well-served by bus connections. Visiting is pleasant year-round, though spring and fall are especially rewarding for seasonal flower viewing.
The park preserves a rare collection of vehicles from the former Yokohama Municipal Tramway, keeping alive the city's public transport history. These restored cars offer insight into how transportation evolved in the city during the 20th century.
