Château de Yatsuhashi, Japanese castle in Tottori, Japan

The castle stands on a hill with stone fortifications, incorporating multiple defensive structures and strategic viewpoints across the Tottori landscape.

In 1524, the castle changed hands when Amako Yoshihisa captured it from its previous occupants and installed Yoshida Sakon as the new commander.

The nearby Taigen-ji temple contains the preserved tomb of the Tsuda family, who were among the last feudal lords of Yatsuhashi Castle.

The castle ruins are accessible through a short 100-meter walk from Yatsuhashi Station, where parking facilities accommodate visitors arriving by car.

The castle demonstrates the implementation of hirayamajiro architecture, a construction style that maximizes natural hill formations for defensive purposes.
