Hyōgo prefectural Akō Seaside Park

Located along the Seto Inland Sea, this 71.7-hectare park includes tennis courts, wooden athletic equipment, playgrounds, and vast green spaces for outdoor activities.

The park, established in 1987, was constructed on former salt fields that played an important role in the local salt production industry of the Ako region.

The Marine Science Museum and Salt Museum within the park demonstrate the traditional salt-making methods and maritime heritage of the Hyogo Prefecture.

The park opens from 9:00 to 17:00, with free admission for visitors, while parking fees range from 500 yen for regular vehicles to 1,600 yen for large vehicles.

The park features the Tatecho Wakuwaku Land amusement area, which combines entertainment facilities with educational exhibits about marine science and local ecology.
