Okazaki City Minami Park

Okazaki City Minami Park is a recreation area with tennis courts, a swimming pool, an amusement park section, and a square showing historic vehicles. The grounds also include baseball fields and a playground for children.

The park was founded in April 1962 and grew into an important recreation area for Okazaki City. It shows the long-term value of public parks in the city's development.

The park contains the Aoi Plum Garden with about 140 red and white flowering trees that shape the look of the space with their seasonal blossoms. These trees create a special view and invite people to walk and sit.

The park has tennis courts with free racket rental, baseball fields, and a playground for children. The different areas are easy to reach and can be explored in one visit.

The grounds display a rare collection of railway vehicles including a D51 steam locomotive and a linear motor car. This exhibition offers visitors insight into Japan's railroad history.
