太海フラワーセンター, Botanical garden in Kamogawa, Japan.
Taikai Flower Center is a botanical garden in Kamogawa with greenhouses and outdoor sections displaying different plants throughout the year. The layout is organized into zones, each focusing on seasonal displays, tropical specimens, and native vegetation.
The garden was founded in 1965 as a municipal facility in Emi and developed over the following decades. A rest house was added in 1974 and the grounds underwent multiple expansions to accommodate more plant collections.
The Imperial couple visited the garden in 1984, marking its status as a significant horticultural institution in the Chiba Prefecture.
The grounds are located just a short walk from Futomi Station, served by the JR Uchibo Line. Parking is available and the entire area is easy to explore on foot.
The grounds once featured a fishing pond and a pet area where visitors could interact with cats and dogs. These family-friendly sections were closed at the end of 2018 and no longer exist.
