Odai Park, Urban park in Higashiura, Japan
The park extends across 12.1 hectares with gardens featuring 100 medicinal trees, 60 medicinal herbs, and seasonal flowers including cherry blossoms and irises.
The park bears its name in honor of Lady Odai, mother of Tokugawa Ieyasu, who originated from the Mizuno clan of this region.
The annual Odai Festival in late April features historical parades where participants dress as Lady Odai and other warriors from Japanese history.
Visitors can access the park via a 15-minute walk from JR Ogawa Station or a 5-minute drive from Higashiura-Chita Interchange.
The park maintains a dedicated pond for cultivating Euryale ferox, an endangered aquatic plant species native to Asia.
