Kariya Yokujo

Kariya Yokujo was a traditional public bathhouse with multiple pools at different temperatures, separate bathing areas for men and women, and decorative tilework throughout. The facility featured changing rooms, washing stations, and areas for rest after bathing.

The bathhouse exemplified Japan's long tradition of public bathing facilities and remained in operation until 2011. It reflects how central such places were to everyday life across many generations.

This bathhouse served as a gathering spot where neighbors met regularly to bathe and socialize in a relaxed setting. It held special meaning as a place where community bonds were strengthened through daily routines.
