Higashi Hirao park

The park opened in 1989 as part of Fukuoka city's initiative to create recreational spaces, becoming the home stadium for Avispa Fukuoka soccer team.

The park hosts annual mushroom observation events in November, connecting local residents with nature through educational outdoor activities.

Visitors can access the park through Fukuoka Airport Station exit 4, followed by a short walk or bus ride to the entrance.

The observation deck provides direct views of aircraft taking off and landing at the adjacent Fukuoka Airport, creating an unusual park experience.
