Kayoichō Park

Kayoichō Park is a public space in Kasuya built around a pond with a walking loop and numerous cherry trees lining the pathways. The grounds include recreational facilities and a rose garden with multiple varieties displayed throughout the seasons.

The park developed around one of the three major historical ponds of the Chikuzen region, which has provided water resources to local communities for centuries. This water source shaped the settlement and development of the surrounding area.

The park serves as a gathering place during the annual YOSAKOI Kasuya Festival in October, when performers showcase traditional and modern Japanese dance on its grounds. This celebration brings together the local community and visitors through shared artistic expression.

The park is accessible for most of the day and provides ample parking for cars along with safe routes for pedestrians and cyclists. Its proximity to public transportation makes arriving by train a straightforward option for visitors.

The rose garden features two exclusive varieties bred specifically for this location and found nowhere else. These special cultivars make the garden particularly notable for anyone interested in botanical specimens.
