池田大橋

Ikeda Bridge is a steel structure in Miyoshi, Tokushima, stretching about 1.7 kilometers and connecting opposite shores while serving as a major route for daily traffic. The construction features a straightforward design with clean lines and modern safety systems for both vehicles and foot traffic.

The structure was completed in 2004 as part of a regional infrastructure project to enhance transportation links across Shikoku. Its opening helped connect several communities more efficiently with one another.

The bridge design incorporates elements of traditional Japanese engineering while meeting modern safety standards for vehicle and pedestrian traffic.

The bridge remains open year-round and requires no toll fees for crossing. Pedestrians can use the walkway while drivers benefit from well-maintained road conditions.

At certain spots along the bridge, visitors can observe water reflections of the sky, especially during clear weather. These reflections create an optical effect that sometimes makes the waterway below seem nearly invisible.
