深川市桜山公園, Cherry blossom park in Fukagawa, Japan

Sakurayama Park contains 800 cherry trees, including Ezoyama and Chishima varieties, spreading across 238,921 square meters of natural landscape.

The park originated in 1971 as Sakurayama Leisure Land with rides and a zoo, attracting 158,000 visitors in 1981 before transitioning to a nature park in 2000.

Every year in early May, the Citizen Cherry Blossom Festival brings local residents together to celebrate the blooming season with traditional activities.

The park remains open all day without admission fees, providing parking facilities and barrier-free access, though winter closures may occur.

Two preserved steam locomotives, C58 98 and D51 312, stand within the park grounds as permanent exhibits of railway heritage.
