Koka Ninja House, House museum in Kōka, Japan

The wooden residence contains numerous concealed trapdoors, secret passages, and hidden chambers designed for protection and surveillance throughout its structure.

Built in the late 1600s during the Edo period, this residence belonged to Mochizuki Izumonokami, a member of the Koka Ninja Clan.

The house presents demonstrations of ninja techniques, including the art of shuriken throwing and the preparation of traditional herbal teas.

The museum opens daily from 9:30 AM to 5:00 PM except Wednesdays and fourth Thursdays, with an entrance fee of 650 yen.

The building remains the sole preserved residence in Japan where ninja warriors lived, trained, and developed their specialized combat techniques.
