Yonako Falls

Yonako Falls features two parallel water cascades plunging down steep rock faces side by side, creating a distinctive double-stream formation. Both falls originate from the same mountainous region above and flow into a single river system below.

The area surrounding these falls was once the site of sulfur mining operations that have since been abandoned and reclaimed by nature. The waterfalls themselves have remained unchanged through these industrial periods.

The water feeding these falls comes from two separate mountain peaks that merge into a single river below, which flows into the larger Chikuma River system. This convergence of different water sources creates a distinctive hydrological feature.
