舘の山公園

Tatenoyana Park is a mountain park spread across a hillside with several walking paths connecting various viewpoints. These paths wind upward to overlook the town of Senmaya situated in the valley below.

This place has functioned as a nature preservation area for a long time, establishing itself as a space dedicated to environmental protection. The site has continuously served the local community through generations of conservation work.

The park draws many visitors during spring when its collection of different cherry varieties creates an extended viewing season rather than a brief peak.

You can reach the park on foot from Senmaya Station or by car from nearby highways. Wear sturdy shoes for the walking paths, as some sections can be steep or uneven depending on the season and recent weather.

The park contains more than 100 cherry trees representing multiple varieties, including Somei Yoshino and weeping cherry types. Because each variety blooms at a slightly different time, the visual show extends well beyond the typical brief peak blossom period.
