Kannon Falls

Kannon Falls cascades down 45 meters with a width of 10 meters, creating a vertical water stream through the forested slopes of Saga Prefecture.

The waterfall received its designation as part of Japan's Top 100 Waterfalls following a national survey of natural water features across the country.

The name derives from the Buddhist figure Kannon, reflecting Japanese traditions of connecting natural landmarks with religious and spiritual elements.

Visitors can reach the falls through a marked hiking path from the main road, with parking facilities available at the trail entrance.

The water flow maintains consistent volume throughout the year, creating different patterns as it interacts with rock formations along its descent.
