Mount Tonbo

Mount Tonbo rises to 535 meters and offers views across Himeshima Island and the coastal regions of Itoshima and Karatsu. The mountain is accessed through multiple hiking trails of varying difficulty, with parking available at the base near public transportation.

This summit served as a natural boundary between Itoshima and Karatsu when Japan established its modern administrative divisions. It later became part of the Genkai Quasi-National Park, reflecting the region's approach to conservation.
